In Memoriam Jack Roland Murphy
May 26, 1937 - September 12, 2020
September 12th, 2020, our very dear friend and fellow minister, Jack Roland Murphy, departed his mortal body; and in the twinkling of an eye, death was swallowed-up in victory. Within just a few short hours of falling ill, Jack transitioned from earth’s limitations to the endless splendors inside Heaven’s gate. Commonly referred to as “Murf the Surf” or simply “Murf” by friends far and wide, Jack Murphy is survived by his loving wife Kitten, three sons, Michael, Sean, and David, three grand children, and a multitude of friends who considered him as “closer than a brother”.

Since Jack Murphy's release from prison in 1986, he has visited prisons all over the world, touching desperate lives with the Gospel of grace, forgiveness, and mercy. Jack brought the message of eternal life, as well as true freedom to those in the bondage of sin and despair. Jack is finally at rest in heaven among the saints.

Jack Murphy's Legacy Lives On
Someone once said there is no success without a successor.
​
Jesus said that in another more powerful way: make disciples. The ultimate success is to imitate Jesus and make disciples as Jack has done over and over. I have watched Jack push individuals out in front of a crowd of inmates and tell them to testify. Many of those individuals have gone on to become effective prison ministers.
​
In Jack's last days, we purposed to provide training materials to inmates and move them forward with a purpose toward the destiny God has for them.
